TERMS & CONDITIONS for Use of the PaperCept, Inc Web Site

The following terms and conditions (the "Terms and Conditions") govern your use of the website (this "Site" or PaperPlaza) of PaperCept, Inc, a Nevada corporation (the "PaperCept, Inc."), and any services contained within the Site. These Terms and Conditions include our Privacy Policy and supplemental terms and conditions ("Supplemental Terms") that will govern your use of specific PaperPlaza services ("Additional Services"). By using or downloading any materials from this Site, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. In addition, you agree to the applicable Supplemental Terms by using or downloading materials from that Additional Service.

The PaperCept, Inc shall provide notice to you promptly of any such claim, suit, or proceeding and shall assist you, at your expense, in defending any such claim, suit or proceeding.
  12. Termination. PaperCept, Inc may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination, you agree to cease all use of this Site. Without limiting the foregoing, PaperCept, Inc shall have the right to immediately terminate your access and use of the Site, or any portion of the Site, in the event of any conduct by you or through your account which PaperCept, Inc, in its sole discretion, considers to be unacceptable, or in the event of any breach by you of the Terms and Conditions. The provisions of Sections 4, 9, 12 and this Section 14 shall survive any termination of this agreement.

PRIVACY POLICY

  1. About your Security and Privacy
    This security and privacy policy ("Privacy Policy") constitutes a part of the Terms & Conditions ("Terms and Conditions") of the PaperCept, Inc Web Site, which governs your use of this Site. The Terms and Conditions, including this Privacy Policy, may be amended by the PaperCept, Inc at any time by posting the amended Terms and Conditions on this Site. The Terms and Conditions were last amended on May 18, 2004.

    In addition to this Privacy Policy, certain PaperCept, Inc services on or accessible from this Site have Supplemental Terms that will govern your use of such services. These also form a part of the Terms and Conditions and govern your use of such services.
  2. Credit Card Transactions
    For your protection, we have taken a number of steps to maximize the security of financial transactions that are accepted on the PaperCept, Inc Web Site. Credit Card processing is accomplished using secure processing services. No information about your credit card that can lead to their misuse, including the full credit card number and expiration date, is ever stored on the PaperCept, Inc servers. Your entry of credit card information is encrypted when transmitted in secure mode. If you are behind a firewall, the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) feature of your browser and the processing of the credit card may be blocked. If for any reason, you still feel uncomfortable submitting your credit card over the Internet, you can mail your form to us.

    In addition, there are constantly changing restrictions in the use of encryption software and schemes that are used in various countries. The use of appropriate software and encryption options are your responsibility, and the PaperCept, Inc assumes no risk or liability in ensuring your compliance to local law.

  3. Information We Collect From You, How We Use the Information and Opt-out Choices
    There are a number of areas in the PaperCept, Inc Web Site where we ask for and collect information about you, including personally identifiable information. Where we do, it is in order to serve you better, or is necessary to accomplish the service you are requesting. Examples include membership information (which may include name, address, email, telephone number and educational and professional affiliation), security identifiers, shipping information, and product purchase information stored in online transactions.

    From time to time, to better serve our members and to supplement member dues, the PaperCept, Inc mailing list, in part or as a whole, is released to other engineering organizations that have signed a "Memorendum of Agreement" with the PaperCept, Inc, to provide you with information on relevant technical products and services useful to our members. In addition, the mailing lists may be used in connection with informing you about PaperCept, Inc services, products, conferences, meetings and events.

    Security identifiers are not disclosed to third parties or affiliated persons or entities. Shipping information (except membership information as noted above) and product purchase information stored in online shopping carts is not disclosed except in connection with the fulfillment and processing of your orders and requests
  4. Use of "Cookies"
    Cookies are implemented in various parts of the PaperCept, Inc Site, such as the PaperPlaza or registration pages. You will not be able to use these services without accepting cookies via your web browser. In most instances, the use of Cookies is discretionary by you, and declining Cookies will usually result only in loss of certain conveniences such as session continuity and re-authentication during current or future sessions.   5. General PaperCept, Inc Web Server Security
    All of the PaperCept, Inc Web servers use self generated security certificates using industry-standard certificate techniques.
  6. Personal Protection of Your Access Rights and Authentication
    A username (or PIN) and password will be used to authenticate you when you enter privileged services that are offered by the PaperCept, Inc. After authentication, the service being requested will be allowed based on your current status in the PaperCept, Inc.

    This Site contains links to other sites. The PaperCept, Inc is not responsible for the terms or privacy practices of such other sites and you should read their terms and privacy policy carefully before using them.
